Rowing machine exercise tips:

  • When you start, your legs should be bent at the knees and arms straight in front of you at shoulder level. To complete the rowing “stroke”, straighten your legs, keeping your arms extended in front of you. When your arms reach your knees, lean back slightly, pulling your arms into your chest;
  • Keep your grip on the handles relaxed or else your forearms will get sore;
  • Concentrate on the larger muscles of your back and legs to get the job done.Try not to use your biceps.
  • Don’t lean back too far to avoid excess strain on your back.
