Exercise for Healthy Weight Loss Detox

by Maria on April 3, 2011

Exercise speeds up metabolism and helps natural peristaltic action, curbs stress and stimulates the immune system. It helps the body to rid itself of harmful chemicals and toxins in the food we eat and the air we breathe.

Aerobic exercises like walking, jogging, cycling, and swimming are the most detoxifying but core muscle exercises and strength exercises are also useful for detoxification.

Yoga has been prescribed for centuries as moving medicine for the immune system. Its many poses help to massage the internal organs. More advanced forms of yoga even provide a cardiovascular workout.

Any exercise that you enjoy doing will help you to rid your body of toxins.

When you exercise:

• You clean all of your internal organs at the same time.

• The blood circulates the body, thus bringing nutrients to all the organs and muscles.

• Lymph fluids circulate the body, thus removing toxins.

• You breathe deeply and take in more oxygen, which helps removing toxins.

• You exhale carbon dioxide.

For best detox results:

• Exercise every day or at least three times a week for 20-30 minutes.

• Target as many muscles as you can.

• When possible exercise outdoors.

• Drink lots of water.

• Sweat the water out.

• Wear workout clothes made from absorbent fabrics (like Cool/Max) to pull sweat away from your skin.

• Have a shower.

The bottom line: Exercise to lose weight by cleansing your body of toxins which interfere with metabolism and block natural fat-burning.
