Thoughts on a Spectacular Weight Loss Story

As I was browsing the Web the other day, I came across an article about this 27-year old man by the name of Andrew having had lost weight by healthy eating and regular exercise.

Was I surprised? Of course not! It has always been my belief that permanent weight loss can be achieved by means of  healthy eating and regular exercise.

Anyway, the writer tells us at great length how Andrew packed on the pounds, his coping mechanisms and how the weight began encroaching on his daily life and how he started working his life around it. Then he goes on to tell us that ” big people are judged”. Nothing new so far.

What made Andrew give in and turn his life around?

Well, it was his motivation to be a healthy husband and father! Moreover, he did not  want to die young!

However, losing weight was not easy. He did try weight loss programs, all to no avail…they were ” quick fixes” , he lost some weight but…gained it back.

Finally, he stopped dining out and began eating healthy home-cooked meals and added exercises for healthy weight loss. Did he succeed in achieving his goal? The answer, of course, is yes. Andrew lost about 250 pounds and got his life back!

So far so good, but Andrew will need his discipline and motivation to maintain it.

So, what lesson can be taken away from this story?

You don’t need me to tell you that the answer to this question is: permanent weight loss can be achieved only through healthy diet and regular exercise.

I hope this story will inspire you to eat healthy and exercise regularly to lose weight.
